Mildly Extreme Home Makeover: Josh's Apartment

BEFORE AFTER
After living here since July, I finally did something with my "dining room" (also known as a corner of my living room.) You'll notice that in the "before" picture, I didn't really show that corner. That's right, I Ansel Adamsed it (only showed the pretty stuff, left out all the ugly nearby.) Favorite part of it? The olive branch print. Also, did you know? Mirrors really do make rooms look bigger.
I'm really happy with how it turned out...but need to decide on something to put on the table. Any ideas for me?
Very nice, dear ... very nice. I'm sure what I'd suggest to put on the table would NOT be in your line of thought, so I'll leave that up to anyone else! :)

I might go for a fun candle and or plant.

I think a nice ceramic Elvis would be lovely.

I think you should put dried eucalyptus in a tall glass vase in the center of your table. Reasons:
1) the shape of the eucalyptus will mirror the leaves of the olive branch print
2) the real (dead) plant will draw people's eyes to the print on the wall
3) eucalyptus from michaels can be bought in small or large bunches pretty darn cheaply (whereas, ceramic elvis. . we're talking buncha bucks!)
4) eucalyptus will give your room a lovely scent
or go with a cat. A real cat. Right in the center of your table. :o)

Or a ceramic cat...dressed like Elvis!
No, really, I like the plant idea. I was actually thinking a bonsai would be cool. But they might be expensive. Maybe a ceramic bonsai?
