Well, I could have told you that!

Marilynne Robinson's GILEAD is a "must!"  Check out #4!  From Entertainment Weekly, even!  I read Gilead this past November.  Loved it.  If you haven't read it yet, you probably should.  Not because Entertainment Weekly thinks you should...but because I think you should.

Josh the Dinosaur.

Long ago and far away...in the late 90's, I believe, Josh the Dinosaur arrived.  My neighbors, and some of my favorite people in the world, the Fine Kelly Family, got a stuffed neon dinosaur.  One of their daughters was fairly young then, and if memory serves, she named him.  Thus, he became my namesake.  Once in awhile, I'd see Josh lounging on the couch, or just around their house.  A few years later, when I was at Whitworth, I got a care package from the Fine Kelly Family...with what else, but my very own stuffed Josh.  (Yes, I still have him.)

Over the years, I have wondered about the original Josh the Dinosaur...Had he been sent off to the Goodwill?  Or, like many old stuffed animals, had he simply been tossed out in the trash?  Mrs. Fine Kelly sent me pictures earlier today, calming my fears by proving that the original Josh the Dinosaur is still alive and kicking.  Just check him out...

I'm an uncle again!

Well...sort of. My very good friend Robert and his amazing wife Heather have had their first baby last week.  Her name is Grace.  I'll be her uncle any day.  I love those guys.  They are great parents already...check out their blog.

2,821 Miles of Sheer Goodness.

What a week.  Four Bro's.  One week break between semesters.  Good times with Nick, Zach and Gary.  Zach drove EVERY single mile of this trip.  Ya, he's the only one who knows how to drive a stick shift.  Total cost: approximately $150 per person when all was said and done.  Not bad at all.

Rallying in Raleigh, NC.

Hanging out at Duke University, using their email for free.  Living off the land.  Staying with some friends of Nick.  Good times.  Safe travels today.  Its a bit rainy...was fogggggggggy all the way down the East Coast today.  Once we hit Washington, DC, it was fine.  I've been to 2 states for the first time today: Maryland & Delaware.  Crrrrazy.

Catch you later.  (No Clay Aiken sightings yet...and that is a GOOD thing.)

OUT OF OFFICE MESSAGE: Road Trip.

It's Inter-Semester Break!  One week of freedom before classes begin again.  So.  Get me out of Princeton.  A whole week.  Friday to Saturday, trekking in Zach's Honda Element.

Four out of five bro's from Bro's Bible Study (Nick, Gary, Zach and me) are heading South. Where South?  Good question.  Florida is our general destination.  We are looking for a chance to hang out, sleep, find the sun, spend some time with Jesus, eat, play board games, exercise, sleep, visit a random church in the South, sit on a beach, camp, not spend a whole lot of money, and enjoy NOT doing homework.  Glorious.

While I may give you a shout out sometime in the next week or so, I don't plan on doing any elaborate posts of this trip, unlike this trip and this trip.  However, upon our return, I will most definitely post pictures and give you the run down.
