While reading a catechism on the sacraments for my Calvin class, I got to the above sentence pertaining to church attendance and learning from one's pastor. Good words, they make sense. However, I couldn't help but think that they sounded an awful lot like a fortune cookie. With some research, I've learned that Calvin ruled the Genevan underworld under the pseudonym "Confucius."
Brilliant, Josh. You've just brought together two rival traditions in a synthesis which has remarkable possibilities!
Let's think about this. Let's start putting "...in bed" at the end of Calvin's doctrinal formulations. That'd give double predestination an interesting ring! What about total depravity...in bed?

Oh, Dan. I had hoped no one would go there.

I'll try to redeem myself [in bed]...no seriously...You asked about xmas music. See if you can find the Death Cab track (not album) "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" off some random 2004 Christmas compilation. It's a good track, partly because cool indie bands don't regularly do xmas albums (Sufjan aside, of course).
