My mom got this horse, Adara, a Bashkir Curly, a few years back. Then, about a year and a half ago, before my parents bought their farm, she reluctantly decided to sell Adara to a breeder, hoping that she'd be able to have a foal. In the sale, the contract said that if the new owners ever decided to sell Adara, my mom got first dibs.
What do you know? Adara was not able to concieve, so my mom got a call earlier this summer, and boom...Adara is back in the family...even healthier and happier, too! Needless to say, Momma Cleveland is ecstatic, looking out on the pastures, seeing her horse out there!
okay, this sounds lame, but as i was eating my cereal this morning i was reading a book about horses that the people i live with have and i just learned about bashkir curlies! they were totally new to me. my mom also longs for a horse for her farm but i think it will be a while before she gets hers. yay for your mom!
