The Colbert Report Episode #221: Jablonski and Colbert's Skin!

Colbert_report_episode_220 Tonight I went with Nick, Josh, and Gary to a taping of the Colbert Report in New York.  For the second time, we sat in great seats in the front row AND got to give Colbert a high five as he entered the studio.  (The guy has soft hands, by the way.)  As always, Colbert was hilarious in and out of character, as well as very kind.   The man is brilliant.  I am amazed by his quick and pointed wit.

Before the show, Colbert fields questions from the audience, as himself, and he answered one of Gary's questions about his interest in politics.  A funny show tonight...it felt good to laugh alot with those good friends.  Nina Jablonski, a biologist from Penn State was the guest, talking about her research on the undervalued gift we all have: skin.  Another funny segment included an expose on SAHD's (Stay At Home Dads).  And hey, we were on camera while the credits were rolling, too.  I hope I love my future job as much as Colbert appears to love his.  No joke.   Again...a really good night with good friends.

LOST. Season One: Complete.

I finished it. I am now experiencing some extreme inner termoil...Do I start Season Two...or not? Oh, the choices I have to make. I don't know if I have the emotional energy it takes to watch that show any longer. It's hard being me.

(I will say, I've quit working out because LOST increases my heart rate enough to serve as my exercise. Maybe I'll keep watching, but to make myself feel better, I'll wear my workout clothes.)

UNASHAMED, UNDENIABLE ADDICTION.

Hello, my name is Josh, and I am now addicted to LOST, Season One, on DVD.

Wa_lostcast_02 I am not one to get addicted to TV (save for American Idol: Season One...Kelly is still my girl...no shame), but last week, my buddy Dave revealed that he had LOST on DVD.  I since it is early in the semester, I didn't have anything else to do with my time on that day, so..."Eh, why not?"

With that being said, in the past four days, I have watched nine, 43 minute-long, commercial free episodes.  I would have easily watched more, but once he saw my addictive tendencies, Dave is keeping me on a strict schedule.  It's for my own good.  I'm trying to pull others down with me, too.

How did I not get addicted to this show earlier?  Oh, that's right.  Seminary life.

The Colbert Report: Episode #64, Thank You for Smoking, & The 900 Foot Jesus.

Colbert_200Nick and I just got back from a free taping of the Colbert Report. Seats?  Front row.  Center.  We had a really good time, and at one point, good old Colbert was about 1.5 feet from us.  Seems like a really genuine guy off camera...

Guest: Christopher Buckley, the author of Thank You for Smoking was on, and Colbert talked about Oral Roberts Univeristy and Oral's vision of a 900 foot Jesus.  Colbert was on his mark.

A sweet afternoon.

The Colbert Report!

ColbertLate last fall, I entered my name into the lottery to win free tickets to Comedy Central's comedy news show, the Colbert Report.  I'd forgotten about it...until today.

Got an email confirming that I had won FOUR tickets to a taping of the show in NYC.  March 13th is the day...Nick, Almanza, Zirschky and I are going.

It had better be funny...or the show will be dead to me.  Dead.

Beautiful people vulnerability. Vanessa Williams, Judith Light, Jessica Simpson, Rick Fox, and now...Diddly.

Diddy_what_2 It must be a hard life, but I am so so so happy for Diddly.

On a recent infomercial for Proactiv Skin Care, The Artist-Formerly-Known-As-Any-Name-He-Could-Think-Of so humbly and eloquently remarks:

"It moisturizes my situation and maintains my sexy."

Thank you, Diddly.  I am so happy for that your situation is moisturized and that your sexy is maintained.  I see it.  (P.S. What does that MEEAN?)
